Introduction to Structures: Bridges Building Kit
Gone are the days of using toothpicks and glue. With the K'Nex Intro to Structures: Bridges building set, students will be introduced to the history and function of bridges, along with the importance of structural design, geometry, and the strength of bridges. All while providing them the opportunity to acquire a hands-on, inquiry-based approach to learning about these concepts.
The included teacher's guide provides all of the information and resources needed to build your students' understanding of the scientific, technical, and design concepts of this building kit, as well as channeling their inquiries into both active, and meaningful, learning experiences.
The set includes 207 K'Nex parts, which is enough to build 13 fully functional replicas of real-world structures. Each kit is capable of supporting 2-3 students in grades 3 through 5, and comes with both building instructions and a teacher's guide that has been aligned to national educational standards, as well as common core mathematics.
STEM Education focuses on concepts in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and are taught through various methods of problem solving, discovery, exploratory learning, and critical thinking.
