Exploring Wing and Water Energy STEM Building Set
Going green with this K'Nex STEM building kit while exploring wind and water energy will allow students to address critical science, technology, and engineering concepts in the middle school classroom, while providing a series of instructional models that will help to enhance their understanding of these concepts.
By using the K'Nex building kit and the lessons including in the teacher's guide, students will be offered a program of study that incorporates hands-on learning with an inquiry-based approach. Groups of 1-2 students will work co-operatively together as they work to build, investigate, discuss, and evaluate not just concepts, but also ideas and designs.
The building set includes 288 pieces, which is enough to build six different renewable energy models, two at a time.
STEM Education focues on concepts in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and are taught through various methods of problem solving, discovery, exploratory learning, and critical thinking. It requires students to be actively participating in the learning, and K'Nex offers hands-on opportunities that encourage scientific inquiry, investigation, and experimentation. This kit is aligned with national Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, stan
