9.5" Long Plesiosaurus Replica
A large marine dinosaur that was around during the early part of the Jurassic Period, a number of nearly complete skeletons have been found around the Lias of England. The Plesiosaurus is considered to be the basis of a number of modern-day myths, including that of the Loch Ness Monster. It is identifiable by its long and slender neck that was topped by a small head, and its broad, turtle-like body. The Pleiosaurus featured a short tail, and two pairs of large, elongated paddles for fins.
Made of heavy-duty rubber, the Plesiosaurus has been painstakingly hand-painted, with an extraordinary amount of detail being sculpted and painted. Like many of the Papo-produced herbivorous dinosaur models, it does not feature an articulated jaw.
