3.5" Tall Baby Pachycephalosaurus - Realistic Dinosaur Replica, by Papo
3.5" Tall Baby Pachyscephalosaurus Replica
The pachycephalosaurus or "thick headed lizard" lived in the Cretaceous period approximately 70 million years ago. It measured between 4 and 5 m in length and weighed almost 2 tonnes. Its main characteristic was without a doubt the large hump in the form of a dome on its head. This was made of very thick and extremely solid bone and constituted a sort of "helmet", the role of which is uncertain. We can only suppose that the males fought with one another by striking with their heads. These dinosaurs had small curved teeth at the front of the mouth and also had a beak.
Made of heavy-duty rubber, the pachycephalosaurus has been painstakingly hand-painted, with an extraordinary amount of detail being sculpted and painted. Like many of the Papo-produced herbivorous dinosaur models, it does not feature an articulated jaw.
Papo has been in the business of creating figures for almost 20 years, and maintains dedicated to producing a top of the line product which will stand the test of time, being passed from one generation of inquisitive minds to the next. Safety to them is a central priority, and something that they start looking at even in the initial design phase. All of their model figures are manufactured following strict compliance with international safety rules, are are tested by approved laboratories.
